CINECA Learning Pathway
Nowadays, it is difficult to share internationally the large amounts of human genetic data generated by researchers due to the data size, sensitive nature, and strict data protection regulations. A way to overcome these challenges is by allowing researchers to analyse the datasets at its source, in a “federated analysis” fashion. Additionally, the use of “synthetic datasets”, which mimic real data but contain no identifiable information, is an alternative to test research workflows and pipelines while waiting for access to real data.
To help researchers learn about finding, accessing and analysing sensitive human data in a federated fashion, the CINECA project has developed a learning pathway.
You can access the federated data analysis pathway here: https://www.ebi.ac.uk/training/materials/cineca-federated-data-analysis/.
